4 years agoI was very pleased to see there large section of freezer items. I haven’t seen this at other Dollar General. The isles were clear of stuff and easy to get up and down. The store was clean in general. I love the fact you don’t need to ask for a key to go to the bathrooms. It was a pretty fast check out. Will go back again.5 years agoGreat employees and carrys a lot of stuff. Large freezer food section since remodeling. Has stuff you wouldn’t expect from a store that size. My wife is there every day almost. We live in Concord VA so it very convenient4 years agoI love Ms. Kim! Well both Kims & their new staff are all extremely helpful. I really appreciate all their help. I’m now use to the change of the remodel & absolutely love the $1 isle. This is my favorite Dollar General. I sleep in my car until they open just so I don’t have to go to a different unorganized location. The Concord Va Highway 460 is the best of the best.4 years agoStaff are the rudest people I’ve ever met. The manager thinks she owns the store. Seen workers get rude with customers for asking for cocktail sauce of all things. Store looks like a cyclone has hit it. The lines take forever to get through because the clerks are too busy carrying on conversations. Half the time there’s not even a clerk to be found to check people out. Save yourself the hastle and just drive to Walmart.3 years agoFriendly staff and Manger is only a asset to the Company above and beyond her duties as a Manger she is exceptional friendly person that goes the extra steps to make her customers feel good about shopping there and the two young men in the evening hours are so helpful great store

2 months agoWorst Dollar General store I have ever been in. Messy, cluttered, narrow aisles, and poor service. One clerk asked another if he would check me out and he said no. An elderly woman asked where something was and she clearly needed help and the clerk pointed vaguely and said over there. Another customer asked if they had a particular item and the female clerk said I don’t know. Personally, I ran my card and it said approved, I put it back in my wallet and the clerk says it didn’t go through. Hesitantly I ran it again so I asked are you sure I wasn’t double charged and he laughed and said I guess you’ll find out. I wish I knew how to contact the owner.6 months agoI go in here alot as it’s close to my house, but this has got to be one of the worst dollar general’s, it’s always messy and normally 2 people working, I’m guessing one manager and one worker, well the managers never help with anything and expect the worker to do it all like take care of the register and stock the shelves, also it’s basically self checkout only because they refuse to get the card machine fixed to where an employee can ring you up, worst DG ever11 months agoI shop at this store because it’s close to my work place..Yesterday while checking out the cashier a young girl picked up her phone,posed to take a selfie then proceeded to wait on me.. I find this very rude..no cell phones or food should be allowed while you are won customers2 years agoIs my to go place for many many things, from last minute frozen lunch for work, to cleaning products, to snacks, and last minute gift ideas. I’m so glad I live withing 5 minutes range. The staff is always kind and the store is fairly organized taking in consideration the volume of customers.2 years agoThey have great prices..shelf’s were empty and there was carts of inventory to be put up.. maybe hire more help, customers shouldn’t have to stand in a line halfway through store… And checkout.. line should go past register 1, you can’t socially distance when people are being called down the isle.

18 short isles cut in the middle each lines 9 longs one…
The outside was clean…
The store was in good shape…
Just a few empty spots on the shelves…

The store was originally a Rite Aid or walgreens back in the day when both chains decided to expand there drugstores only to end up shutting most of them down and selling the stores.
Luckily, Dollar general bought it out and now they have a larger than normal Dollar General store. At first it seems like things are all over the place but later I realized its well stocked. Everything there anyone needs.
The counter and line is setup, like most other Dollar General stores, for covid-19 control with makeshift plastic splash shields and items boxed up to form a customer wait line.
Its decent in my view. Just a little wait time since there is usually one cashier on service. Maybe sometimes two when things get over crowded.
Recently visited 9/2022 and it’s like a brand new store! Sandy and her team (spec. Darwin) have whipped that store into shape! It’s clean and organized and makes for a pleasant shopping experience. Annnndddd the grounds outside are no longer riddled with trash!! You can really tell the employees are taking pride in their store. Way to go guys and thank you!!
Store has been semi-remodeled inside which makes the checkout process a bit quicker but the store is still disorganized and cluttered. The parking lot is unsightly with an excessive amount of trash in every corner, under every bush. Being next to our firehouse and library, DG should take more pride as a neighborhood corner store and clean up their property!
August 2022. While on vacation, stopped by this Dollar General Store to pick up some coffee. It is probably the biggest Dollar General store I’ve been inside. Upon entering a very clean & spacious aisles to push the buggy cart thru. Everything was fully stocked. A Friendly cashier at the checkout. I will definitely visit this store if ever in the area again.
They have a wide selection of snacks and are close to home
