a month agoI had to go to 3 different locations just to give you my money. I went to your east Oakland location just to see a lady telling another customer, “we’ll be open in 30 minutes!” I then went to the s. Main location just to meet the same customer who told me that this location is closed too!? Too often the Oakland location is closed on weekends. You know, when people tend to shop. I’ve never had to work so hard to give my money away.3 weeks agoI tried to get to this Dollar General today and they closed at 6, not 9. If you are short staffed, put your hours subject to change; due to staffing on your webpage here, on Google. Or otherwise, you shouldn’t be in business! I took the bus today; a long ride and was turned away! Plus it says “Opened til 9 pm” on here! SMH!3 weeks agoCame in for pull ups and body wash! Well stocked store, great varieties. The staff is horrible and lazy and just wanna accuse people of stealing so they don’t have to put out the cigarettes and help customers. 2 months agoI thought I moved away from East Colfax in Denver, Colorado by moving here and checking out the dollar generals in the area. They all seem like they’re in a very similar if not that exact area.4 months agoAlways well stocked. Kind workers.always a great shopping experience.3 years agoThis store slowly losing business the freezer foods are never stocked no milk egg cheese butter. Then when you ask the employees most of them have attitudes and give you some sad story. Just have merchandise available for customers.2 years agoThe store in Montgomery is very dirty but especially the floors. Boxes are always scattered around rhe entire store. This place needs a deep deep cleaning.3 years agoIf i could give it no stars i would. Cant get through the aisles they have boxes all over the floor i have tripped a couple times. Also the manager i believe her name is maria is the rudest and unfriendliest person ever she has horrible customer service

Nice clean store, you do need your mask, no hand sanitizer offered that I saw at the door, but your welcome to buy it once in.
The store can’t hire enough staff they’re hardly ever open you can’t get through most of the aisles its the worst Dollar general store I’ve ever seen especially when you have no car I can’t go nowhere else and like today there’s holiday specials going on but guess what this store is not opening again like always that’s my review and I don’t usually give reviews but very unhappy unsatisfied customer
Tiny aisles that are cluttered with stuff constantly in the way making it difficult to find what you need and to even get around. Staff needs to learn how to clean. They’re not busy, they have no excuse.
Wife had to chase someone down to check out. Waited for almost 5 minutes before having to go find a manger that seemed more interested in playing with his phone than working! Not cool!
Love the deals on things we needed that day.
Needed to add that there need workers this place is hardly opened, and costumers are getting angry! Most people have to walk there from afar distance. They are never open! They need to hire people who are willing to work the shelves, for instance, they are truly not stocked put away from truck deliveries.. personally not have the stock blocking down the walk ways!!
