5 Replies to 5 Chicago IL’s Largest Walmart Stores

  1. During my shopping experience, I was pleased to discover that I could easily locate all the products I needed. The staff members were friendly, accommodating, and readily available to provide assistance. Additionally, I found the prices to be more affordable in comparison to other supermarkets. Overall, it was a positive shopping experience that left me satisfied.

  2. Ms. Wanda was extremely rude. She talked to my 15 year old like she was an adult because of a small mistake at self checkout. Ms WANDA was standing to the side and not helping any customer…not even watching whether they scanned all the items. Had she paid attention, she could have directed her accordingly instead of speaking so harshly to her. I do not appreciate how she spoke to her. I went to talk to the manager, ALEJANDRO and he did not speak with Ms. WANDA about her behaviour towards a customer. He brushed us off. One employee even said Ms. Wanda hadn’t “had any wine yet”. I won’t say that I will not shop there again, but Ms. Wanda better watch her mouth next time. If I would have slapped her then I would be the bad guy! I am a Store Manager at a major corporation and I would never allow my team to speak to a customer the way she did; let alone, a minor. This store has never let me down the way they did today.

  3. Always busy, long lines everywhere. I only shop here if I have to but definitely not the place to go frequently. The photo department is the worst, there is never an associate there so you have to go hunt someone to help you which most can’t and you just have to wait until someone shows up.

  4. Jeff Jeff in electronics went above and beyond in helping me along with being very personable and well articulated. I greatly appreciate his efforts and certainly believe he deserves a raise.

Service was good… but they couldn’t get my receipt from a day prior… they can see me paying but couldn’t pull up any receipt for that time stamp… The management should be concerned about someone pocketing that money…now my trimmers lost their warranty as I’m left with no receipt… even a little candy store has track of their transactions… this doesn’t make no sense…

I never feel comfortable here but they do have hidden gems and custom cakes (which I went for.) There’s lack of items on the shelves and no jewlery.

I came Sunday, March 5, 2023, to Woodstock at Walmart to get two tires to be fixed because I veered off the road. Unfortunately, my tires could not be fixed Sunday because the employee in auto misguided me and there were limited employees to help me, hence, I had to leave my car in Woodstock at Walmart and returned to the city which was 1.5 hours away.

I returned two days after and decided to get the car fixed because the employee Danny told me they would be expecting me. When I arrived there were two employees at the auto desk one of the employees went by the name Key and another Larry. I explained to Larry what had transpired and Larry was one of the most professional, empathetic, and humbled managers I have ever met at Walmart. His level of professionalism blew me away. Thank you Walmart for employing such a great manager he is awesome. Great work Larry.

8/21/23 – Iyanna, in lane 25, needs to be informed that the customers in her lane are a priority, and should not text while customers are waiting. Personally, I had to wait until she finished her text. She definitely has no idea what customer service is and just handed me my receipt with no response after I said, “Thank You.”

My hubby and I have been going to this Walmart since it opened. I even had the privilege to work here. We practically live here when it comes to shopping. Never had to call the 1800Walmart number to put in a complaint till today. On Labor day Monday we bought a window air conditioner. On Thursday we noticed the 25%off sign so we verified if we bought back the receipt we can get the difference back according to the 14 day policy. Today to our disappointment the store manager FISNIK refused to accommodate us and talked down to us as though we were ignorant. He said, there was no such policy and if he did it for us he would have to do it for everybody! What! Along side him was the front manager Taliza, I believe was her name, that treated us rudely as though we were out to rob them! She was loud, disrespectful, and so unfriendly. Still at the store, I called that customer service number and got the most sweetest person. She made it possible to get our money within minutes. This angered the front manager even more. Now rudely taking our receipt to the customer service desk. Neither manager apologized for the behavior. The store manager walked by us on his way out from his shift and pretended not to see us. I quess we became invisible! Thank you, so much 1800Walmart customer service, Tess. You made our night. Our opinion is, if your not a people person you shouldn’t be in retail. This is our Walmart and we will continue to be customers. Tess saved the day!

Better than the 95th & Western store, that’s for sure! Much more clean, well organized with a better selection of pretty much everything. Staff is grumpy, but that appears to be a requirement to be hired at the company.

Last time coming to this Walmart. I bought a vacuum 2 days ago. When I got home it wouldn’t turn on and we realized it was USED. The filter was burned out and the wiring had black tape on it. How can Walmart not inspect returned things and just sell it again like if it’s NEW. I find it ironic how Walmart checks receipts when you’re leaving the building but can’t check items for inspection doing fraud reselling. Do better Walmart.

How to Shop Smart at Walmart Chicago IL: A Quick Tutorial

Shopping at Walmart can be a convenient and cost-effective way to purchase a variety of items. Whether you’re a seasoned Walmart shopper or new to the store, here are some simple guidelines to help you navigate your shopping experience:

  • Create a shopping list: Before heading to Walmart, make a list of the items you need to buy. This will help you stay focused and avoid impulse purchases.
  • Check for sales and discounts: Walmart offers frequent sales and discounts on various items. Take a look at the weekly ad or browse their website to find deals on the products you need.
  • Plan your visit during off-peak hours: Walmart can get quite crowded, especially during weekends and holidays. Consider visiting during weekdays or early in the morning to avoid long lines and congestion.
  • Bring reusable bags: Walmart encourages customers to bring their own reusable bags to reduce waste. This not only helps the environment but can also save you a small fee for purchasing bags at the store.
  • Compare prices: While Walmart generally offers competitive prices, it’s always a good idea to compare prices with other stores or online retailers to ensure you’re getting the best deal.
  • Utilize the Walmart app: The Walmart app can be a valuable tool for your shopping experience. It allows you to create a shopping list, check prices, locate items within the store, and even scan barcodes for additional information.
  • Check for in-store pickup or delivery options: If you prefer to avoid the crowds altogether, Walmart offers in-store pickup and delivery options for many of their items. Take advantage of these services for a more convenient shopping experience.
  • Be mindful of your budget: Walmart offers a wide range of products at affordable prices, but it’s easy to get carried away and overspend. Stick to your budget and avoid unnecessary purchases.
  • Don’t forget your essential items: While shopping for groceries and household items, it’s important to also consider your essential items like toiletries, cleaning supplies, and personal care products.
  • Review your receipt: Before leaving the store, take a moment to review your receipt and ensure that all the items and prices are accurate.

By following these simple guidelines, you can have a smooth and successful shopping experience at Walmart. Happy shopping!
